Osmania university declared a notification for the state eligibility test of newly formed states such as Andhra pradesh and Telangana and the test will be going to handle on 04 January of 2017. The convener of both the states released AP and TS State Eligibility Test ( SET ) Syllabus & Eligibility Criteria 2017 along with the information regarding the Pattern. Applications are invited from the candidates who are interested and who have all the required qualifications in prescribed application form to fill up the posts of Assistant professors through direct recruitment or by promotions in universities and Degree colleges in the state. ok ?
Interested aspirants are requested to apply using online mode from October 10 of 2017 which is available up to 31 October 2017. People applying after the last date mentioned in the notification are fined with late fee of Rs 100 dated from November 01 to November 08 of 2017 and the people are fined with the late fee of RS 200 if they pay in the dates of 08 to 15 of November 2017. The examination will be going to held in 27 streams. Candidates can give the exam in both English and telugu languages. New Delhi identified O.U as the state agency for Andhra Pradesh to administer the SET exam and later gave permission for another 3 years for the same university to organize APSET examination for the years such as 2013,2017 and 2017.
However, here we publish the AP and TS State Eligibility Test ( SET ) Syllabus & Eligibility Criteria 2017 in the context of state division, Telangana and Andhra pradesh governments gave the clarification to the university to organize the SET exam for the year 2017. After this decision the university granted a commission and new Delhi decided that the combined result has to be prepared for the candidates of both the states i.e. Telangana and Andhara pradesh. There will be no negative marking and the declaration of results remain same as it was done in the past year year 2013. Further it was decided that SET should issue the certificates which were common for both the states.
AP and TS State Eligibility Test ( SET ) Syllabus & Eligibility Criteria Details :
Applicants who has got atleast 55 percent marks in post graduation of open and OBC section and 50 percent of marks of SC and ST section people are eligible for the Examination
Candidates who did their graduation course or doing their final year of PG degree in related subjects are eligible to appear for SET exam in the year 2017.
Aspirants who had done or pursuing the doctorate degree will be eligible for negotiation of 5 percent from 55 percent to 50 percent in SET examination.
Candidates has to apply for SET in the core subject in masters degree, if the subject is not listed in SET examination, candidate can apply in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET which are conducted twice in a year.
AP and TS State Eligibility Test ( SET ) Question paper pattern :
The SET examination will be handled in multiple choice questions and the test contains 3 papers where all the papers are in objective mode only. Examination will be administered in two phases. In the first phase, paper 1 contains 60 questions out of which 50 as to attempt by all the applicants and each question carries 2 marks and duration is one and half hour where as paper 2 in phase I contains 50 questions all are to be attempted in which each question carries 2 marks and the time limit is one and half hour. In phase 2, paper 3 consists of 75 questions and the candidates have to answer every question given in the paper in which each question carries 2 marks and the duration is two and half hour.
AP and TS State Eligibility Test ( SET ) Syllabus :
According to UGC guidelines the CSIR/UGC_NET syllabus has been taken into consideration to handle APSET for all 27 streams for which the patter of the question paper for the paper 1 is same for all subjects and would be in English and telugu which was held by SET syllabus for all the papers could not be sent to the candidates and are required to get the syllabus from AP SET and TS SET links.
First paper : General skills on teaching and aptitude.
This paper is set to know the ability of teaching skills of the candidates and it is particularly meant for reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The candidate are required to mark 50 answers out of 60 questions given in the paper and if the aspirants answers more than 50 questions, first 50 questions will be considered.
Second paper : subject paper
This paper contains questions as per the subject chosen by the candidate he/she wants. The paper has got 50 objective questions in which the aspirants have to answer all the questions present in the paper. The OMR sheet will be issued along with the test booklet and the candidate has to mark the correct answer.
Third paper : subject paper ( In depth ).
This paper contains objective type questions as per the subject chosen by the candidate. The paper has got 75 questions of multiple choice in which candidates have to answer all the questions. The OMR sheet will be given along with the test booklet and candidate has to tick the correct answer. Paper 3 which will be held by SET includes all the subjects of all the streams. paper 3 of chemical sciences includes all the streams of Analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry,physical chemistry, marine chemistry,medicinal chemistry ,applied chemistry,nuclear chemistry, and bio-organic chemistry.
In the same way paper 3 of earth sciences includes geology, Applied geology, MS geology, physics, Meteorology, Marine geology, geology, Geo informatics, Applied geochemistry,and oceanography and life sciences stream includes botany, Bio chemistry, biotechnology,genetics, micro biology , zoology, Fishery sciences, biology and marine biology. Paper 3 of physical sciences includes Atomic and molecular physics, classical dynamics,condensed matter physics, Electromagnetics, experimental design, electronics, Nuclear physics, space physics, particle physics and quantum physics.
Candidates who will not attend for paper 1 and 2 will not be allowed to write for paper 3.
