RBI Grade B Exam Pattern
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General) Direct Recruitment (DR) syllabus is given in this article, if you are waiting for the same then do not make late to read it. To apply for this notification, applicants’ age must be between 21 to 30 years and they must be qualify Bachelor’s Degree. Applicants must have minimum 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or it’s equivalent grade from 10th standard to Bachelor’s Degree (aggregate for all semesters/years). In the past if applicant already appeared 6 times for this Examination (Phase-I) for this post and also belongs to General (Unreserved) category, then he should not apply for this notification.
This examination has two Phases (I & II), In Phase I questions will be asked on (i) General Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning. This examination contains 200 marks and 120 minutes of duration with objective type questions and further detailed information will be given in Information Handout, which can be download along with Admission Letter (AL) through official website of RBI.
Phase II is an online exammination, short-listed candidates in phase I examination will be appeared in this examination. This examination will be conducted in the form of shifts and to be qualified in this exam, candidate must attend for all these shifts. This online examination has mainly three papaers as shown below.
Paper I – Economic and Social Issues (Objective type) with maximum marks of 100 and the time duration of 90 minutes.
Paper II – English (Writing Skills) (Descreptive type) conducted on computer and typing through key board with maximum marks of 100 and the time duration of 90 minutes.
Paper-III – (Optional) Finance and Management or Economics or Statistics (Objective type) with maximum marks of 100 and the time duration of 90 minutes.
Candidates can choose one subject among three in Paper III, while filling their online application. Paper II English will be only in the same language (i.e English) and remaining all papers will be in both English and Hindi.
In candidates have been qualified in the Phase-II examination also, then they will be called for a personal interview. Candidates who have been short-listed for interview, those numbers will be displayed in the official website of the RBI and call letters for the interview will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id in the application form. Interview contains 50 marks and it can be answered in either English or Hindi.
For the candidates of unreserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD), the bank will provide pre-examination training for Phases I & II of the examinations for free of cost. Who are interested to take this training can apply seperately through email or by post to the Regional Director/General Manager, Reserve Bank of India in any branch mentioned in the official advertisement.
