SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam Syllabus LDC DEO Pattern 2017

This article is going to tell you about the SSC CHSL exam syllabus and pattern.SSC(STAFF SELECTION COMISSION) is conducting every year to recruit eligible and skilled candidates for the posts of LDC(LOWER DIVISION CLERK), DEO(DATA ENTRY OPERATOR) and PA/SA(POSTAL ASSISSTANT/SORTING ASSISSTANT). The exam is conducted for 200 marks and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. The syllabus of CHSL(COMBINED HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL) exam consists of the 4 parts. These are General intelligence,English language, Quantitative aptitude and General awareness. The detailed description of the each part is mentioned below.

Eligibility: 12th pass

Total duration of the exam: 2 hours

Total marks of the exam: 200 marks

Part-1 General Intelligence (50 Questions – 50 Marks)

This part consists the questions of both verbal and non verbal type. The topics are listed below

Part-4 General Awareness (50 Questions – 50 Marks)

Syllabus and Pattern of Skill Test and Typing Test:

There are skill test for LDC(loewer division clerk) and typing test for DEO(data entry operator) for the candidates who will have been qualified in the written test. These are described below.

LDC Skill Test:

The duration of this test is 15 minutes. Candidates should possess data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer. They will be given printed matter in english which they have to type in the computer. Candidates should have the minimum speed of 2000-2200 key stokes/depressions to be qualified in this skill test.

DEO Typing Test:

The duration of this test is 10 minutes. Here you have typing in either english medium or in hindi medium. The speed required for the candidates who opted the english medium is 35 words per minute and the speed required for the candidates who opted the hindi medium is 30 words per minute.

After succesful complition of written test and either skill test or typing test, those candidates will be appointed based on their position in the merit list.
