SSC JE Exam Preparation Plan
SSC JE examination is conducted in 2 stages i.e. Written test and interview. The written exam carries 500 marks while the interview carries 100 marks. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in paper 1 or objective type exam while there will be no negative marking for paper 2 or conventional or essay type written exam.
The descriptive parts of written test will comprise of general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, and general engineering. The general intelligence and general awareness paper is of 50 marks each and each will consists of 50 marks questions.
The other section of General Engineering will be of 100 marks from civil and structural, and mechanical. SSC JE paper 2 exam pattern consists of general engineering conventional type based on branch part A, general engineering civil and structural or part B general engineering electrical or part C general engineering mechanical consisting 300 marks.
In paper 1 and 2, general engineering a candidate is required to attempt only part A or B or C as per their branch. Only those who will be qualifying on paper 1 will be evaluated for paper 2.
